I am not going to unpack it to check for the mod. I've already packed up this radio, so I can give an accurate shipping quote. I used this radio mostly on satellites, so I do not know if there was a CAP/MARS modification. (hi hi) I have a handheld microphone, original paper manual, power cord, and service manual on cd-rom that will be included in this auction. (23cm /1296) I hate to see this radio go, but I need to bring down my Paypal balance. However the 736r has one thing this radio doesn't. (see pics) This radio is quite good for satellites, better than my FT-736r. The radio is in good condition with some wear and one obvious scratch on the bottom.
This FT-847 has the optional cw filter installed. The output is 100w 1.8 through 54mhz, vhf and uhf output is 50w. I've decided to par down my station somewhat.
